What Are Botox and Fillers?

Dermal fillers, also known as injectable implants, soft tissue fillers, or wrinkle fillers are medical device implants or injectable fillers approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada for use in helping to create a smoother and/or fuller appearance in the face, including nasolabial folds, cheeks and lips and for increasing the volume of the back of the hand.

What are there uses?

-Smooth out lines around nose and mouth

-Enhance and restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples

-Diminish vertical lip lines

-lip augmentation- Plump and enhance lips

-Smooth out wrinkles and creases like chin crease

-Improve symmetry among facial features

How do you know if you need Botox/Fillers?

If you're like anyone else, you probably spend some of your day squinting, frowning or doing some other thing with your face. Eventually the skin around the muscles you use to make those faces become less elastic & leave lines/wrinkles. If you see this in yourself, you could be ready for a Botox/Filler treatment!

How Do Botox/Fillers Work?

With a few tiny injections, Botox blocks nerve impulses to the injected muscles, which reduces the muscle activity, causing those persistent wrinkles to form. This reduced muscle activity helps reduce the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. The treatment can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes, so it's perfect for your lunchbreak. No anesthetic is required, so it is a very simple and smooth process.

When Can I expect to see results?

Results typically occur within four to seven days after treatment, though appearances can continue to improve over a month, we typically suggest a re-treatment after 3-4 months after your initial visit.
